About Frankfort Bark Park
Frankfort Bark Park is a project undertaken
by Operation Playground, a local 501(c)3
nonprofit organization dedicated to improving
Frankfort's parks.
Operation Playground was instrumental in the
planning and construction of Fort Frankfort, a
large children's park also located within
Commissioner's park.
In 2000, Fort Frankfort was awarded the
Illinois Association of Park District's "Park
and Facility of the Year Award," the
Community Service Award" and the Illinois
Governors Home Town Award.

Frankfort Bark Park is open, but our
fundraising continues.
Our 2008 goal is to raise money so that we
can continue to maintain and enhance Fort
Frankfort and Frankfort Bark Park.
We always welcome ideas, suggestions, and
volunteers.
